I praise you, Lord, for the partnership you call us to.

You supply the Word, then you give us the task and joy of seeking to understand it by:

reading it,

searching it,

memorizing,

meditating on it,

internalizing,

obeying it.

In response to our searching,

you teach,

give insight,

open new understanding,

help mapply truth

and bring transformation.

I think of Romans 15:13 as an example of this partnership God offers us;

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace…”

This is what He has prepared for us, His first part..

“...as you trust in Him….”

That’s our part, if we trust we will have joy and peace.

And after we trust, God acts again,

“so that your life may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

James 4:2 is  another example

"You do not have because you do not ask God.”

God is prepared to give, just waiting for us to ask.

So let’s partner with God every day in every way, beginning by reading the Word.
