No Shame

Psalm 31:17 “Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I have cried out to you;”
[You, O Lord, desire honor for us, not shame: "As God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved," "...my salvation and honor depend on God, my mighty rock and refuge" (Col. 3:12, Ps. 62:7).
So, we can be confident that, as we bow before you and live for you, you will act in your faithfulness, in your goodness, and in your kindness to save us from being trapped by or controlled by shame.
When we fail or sin, we can forgive ourselves and move ahead, for “he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which” covers all our sin.
Help us to have Jesus’ attitude, “For the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame…” (Heb. 12:2). We, too, can “despise the shame,” Satan and others want to heap on us, we can refuse to give in to it and instead take our stand in Jesus, for “… He has chosen us in Jesus to be holy and without blame before him in love.” (Eph 1:4)
Jesus, I praise you now for how you will act in the difficult situations before me to protect me from shame and to bring both resolution and honor, for “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace….” (Eph 1:7).
