The Gift of Truth ll
Psalm 12:5 “’Because of the oppression of the weak and the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,’ says the LORD. ‘I will protect them from those who malign them.’”
[Praise you, Lord, that you are the God of justice, that you will, at the right time, rise up to expose evil, judge righteously and protect powerfully. We pray that you will do this soon. We cry out to you to expose the lies of Satan, self, and sin (beginning with ours). Shine forth your righteousness as the light and our judgment as the noon day sun.
You, Lord God, love righteousness, and you love the righteous—those purified and forgiven in Christ. And just as well you love all those who continue in darkness, believing the lies of the Devil. You strive with them, give them light, invite them to come to the truth. Most importantly you call them to your character:: “I am the way the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except by me.”
Rise up and show your love in causing Truth to flow throughout the land, giving light to all, sweeping as many as possible into your Kingdom. And guide us in joining you in this great work. What a privilege you have given us to play important roles in the great drama of the redemption of the world, the movement of the world to an end and in seeing many come to know you. May we be faithful as you are.]
