Why Fight for what you Already Have?

More on the Cure for Conflicts

When we can begin to understand the significance we have in Christ, conflicts can immediately lessen, because we already have what we strive to get from others: importance.

We as followers of Christ have significance because God:

--created us in His image,

--chose us before the foundation of the world,

—at great cost redeemed us by the blood of the Lamb,

--individually worked with each of us to bring us to Himself,

--made us His children,

--brought us into His Kingdom,

—and gave us significant roles in His plans for History.

But we can only truly grasp these truths with the power of God–it cannot be done in just human wisdom, insight or strength. In Ephesians 3:18 Paul prays that God will give the believers POWER to understand the greatness of the love of God, to know the love that surpasses knowledge, so  “that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

May we avail ourselves through prayer, praise and His Power of all that our loving Father has prepared for us and presented to us. For, as its says in 2 Peter 1:3, "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness."

Prayer: “Lord God, grant us the power to grasp ‘how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.’  May we then reject the human struggle for significance, and rinstead est in who we are in Christ, clothing ourselves with the qualities you have bought for us. Amen.”
